Well over 32 million Americans will own critical illness
insurance by the end of the year 2015? If not, there will be close to
it.
More than likely you have heard of critical illness
insurance in some form or another as it has become very big in Great Britain. It hasn't taken off in America
as hard as other countries, but this is more than likely ready to change as the figures speak for
themselves.
Consider some of these astonishing facts that have been
gathered in previous years.

|
Nearly 1.5 million Americans were told they
had cancer this year. Women 63% & Men 66% have a chance of living at least five years
after they have been diagnosed with cancer. That is just over half, so in general, over three
quarters of a million Americans will die within 5 years after finding out they have
cancer. This alone sums up the importance of having a financial safety net that could
possibly save their lives.

Every minute (more accurately, 40 seconds),
an American individual will have a stroke. Over half a million people will suffer from their
first stroke with 15% of them dying shortly after. Approximately 25% will recover with some
side effects whilst the others will make a full recovery.
|
|

|
Every 30 seconds, an American will have a
heart attack with over 780 000 of them having a new coronary this
year.
|
|

|
Over 1.5 million Americans will file for
bankruptcy this year. The root cause for this is due to a build up of medical bills. This has
increased 50% from the past 6 years. Nearly 80% of Americans did have health insurance but
were impacted by uncovered expenses and living expenses.

If your in your 40's, the chances are that
you know someone who has had, or has a critical illness. Chances are they survived, but at
what cost? Their car? Their House? Their children's education?
|

|
If you are in your 50's, you definatly know
someone who has had a critical illness and chances are, you even know someone who has died
from one. You are seeing the doctor more often and trying to do everything you can to prevent
problems from arising by eating better and exercise, but you know there is always a
chance.

With these facts, have you changed your thoughts on critical illness? A simple policy, depending on
several factors can be as low as £6 ($10) per month. How would your family think about the current situation?
What if you had an insurance package thrown into the
equation where you could receive up to $20 000 (£10 000) at a minimum upon diagnosis of a critical illness?
Would this be better for you and your family that will ensure your way of life?
To get familiar with the concept, read and learn more.
Start talking to people about it and get an idea of why you should have critical illness
insurance.
Consider buying the protection yourself. First, imagine the peace of mind of knowing you have
the capital to cover your home mortgage repayments while you recover, miss work, learn a new career etc?
Second, it's an affordable amount of protection that most can afford. It certainly wont break the bank and it will
keep you and your family safe. Your children can still go to that college they want to go
to. Third, it's a simple way to get prospects to arrive at a value of desired protection.
It puts things in perspective I would have to say. I have
got my life insurance and critical illness insurance at a young age. Its a fixed rate to cover my entire
mortgage for £12 per month. This is a total for 25 years. If I develop a critical illness in that time, I am
covered up to £90 000. That £12 is for both my life insurance and critical illness cover. Well worth
it.
